How to start a bedtime routine
The million dollar question is “ How do I get my child to have a bedtime routine? “ For my family I let my son do what he wanted for the first two months. I was on his schedule I slept when he slept and ate shortly after him. It was not until he reached the age of three months that I started to implement a bedtime routine. I first start off with a warm bath followed by a nice massage.After we relax with the lights off I give him a warm bottle and off to bed he goes. I normally wait until 7 or 8 to put him to sleep but he often gets heavy eyed at 6. Putting him to bed earlier reassures his length of sleeping. I noticed when he went to bed at 9 or later he would wake up numerous time in the night.
